everything's fine w/ me.
still in ms w/ matt.
jojo,
My son's dog goes to a doggy day care (or doggy camp we call it) in upstate NY. She loves it--comes home so tired at the end of the day she goes right to sleep. The owners send pictures and videos of the dogs playing--they even have kids pools to splash in on hot days. That must be such a great job.

Trevor, It's hard to know what to say. I lurked here for a long time and was so happy that you found each other. Your time together was too short. My deepest condolences.

Thanks, I have a feeling it's going to take a lot of energy looking after those two. I'll have to start a Granny Work-out Program to get in prime baby-sitting shape.

My son and daughter-in-law had twins yesterday, a boy and a girl. (6 pounds 10 oz. and 7 pounds 2 oz.) They're all healthy and doing great. When I went into her room and saw them, I started crying--I made them cry too. I couldn't believe the overpowering emotion. They've been through a lot to have them and I am so happy for them.
My son has been going nuts buying baby clothes. Their closet looks like a children's clothing store--sizes ranging from 0-3 months to 12 months. They have Halloween costumes (a bit young to go Trick or Treating, but nice to know we have that to look forward to). They have little bib overalls and the boy has a tiny Syracuse University warm-up suit. I should have bought stock in Babies R Us!
One happy Grandma,

this will be raising it's ugly head in the next few years with my kids unless we're out by then.
so, did anyone attend their senior prom while still a jw?
were they a jw too?
I can't remember how this was arranged but 4 of us girls went with 4 young brothers. None of us was going with any of the brothers--just a group thing. I can't believe that some of the witness kid's parents let them go. Some of the kids' dad's were elders.
It was so boring. Even though I got along fine with my classmates, I never went to the dances. The 8 of us sat at a table together and didn't interact with anyone. It wasn't fun. When I think of all the grapes I tied to buy my dress and get my hair done.... Luckily, I don't have any pictures.

well, as some of you know, i've hung up my tools and am leaving the mechanic world.
i start my new career tomorrow.
i am going into new car sales.
Big D (sorry I couldn't remember how to spell it).
I remember you were telling us some of your favorite ways of getting discounts. Sounds like you have the gift of gab. You'll be a great salesman. If we could push those Wackytowers and Afakes, we probably can sell anything.
Best wishes on your new job.

anyone have one of the old pink songbooks?.
or know how much they pop up for on ebay?.
The pink one is the one I remember. Of course, I left in the mid 70's. Does anyone remember that one about Lazarus that sounded like a dirge. Talk about depressing.
Lazarus lay sleeeeping in a cold stone grave, How his sisters mourned him, non there him could save.....
What always cracked me up was how they had to use really strange words or word order to rhyme.
Oh, bad memories.
